ampi has a few luxury hotel options. There are very limited options available close to the ruins side.Though most of them are located at some distance from the ruins site, it's quite practical to go for day excursion to the ruins from these luxury resorts and star rated hotels close to Hampi.
Those who are driving (taking your car), be aware of the circuitous route to reach the other side of the river (opposite side of Hampi). If you are selecting one of those hotels on the other side ( of Hampi village) the river, be aware that there are no bridges anywhere near to cross. Plan your driving routes accordingly. However for visiting Hampi ruins site, there are many ferry points with coracle service, if you are willing to leave the car behind!
